The Mockingbird @ DC Mall, Damansara City

'Nasi campur' with globetrotting twists - choose a base (ten-grain rice, couscous, or quinoa with pearl barley), then pick your protein & fibre (our favourite is the Korean-spiced minced beef with egg, pickled carrots & cucumbers; other options include Moroccan-style lamb tagine with chickpeas, romaine & pomegranates, or Cajun-inspired lime chicken with bell peppers & black beans) for well-balanced servings of soul food with subtle shades of flavour that meet the mark for wholesome nourishment (RM22-RM25), offered in a setting that swings for nonchalant, chilled-out vibes. Trivia: The Mockingbird's name is a nod to Harper Lee's classic novel of courthouse justice, linking up with outlet founder Elaine Zarina Lamb's legal background.

  3. I see that lady totally turned around and "caught" you taking a photo! :D I always feel a bit embarrassed when people look/stare at me when I take photos of the place...hehe! ;) That's why I tend to sneak photos of the place from where I'm seating and that's why there usually aren't that many as they don't always turn out great :( Lime chicken would be my pick :)
