Angelina is a low-profile destination in Damansara Jaya for Malaccan specialities - from pork pongteh (RM19, served with steamed rice & veggies) to chicken debal curry (RM20) to kitchen-baked sugee cake, the fare here exudes a home-cooked feel that should work for a fuss-free meal. You'll also find other comfort food like beef cottage pies, oxtail stew, lasagne, pork vindaloo & pork rib noodles. There's no corkage charge, so pay a visit to the wine shop a few doors away before heading in.

ReplyDeleteKY: yeah, not bad for anyone working or living in damansara jaya ;)
DeleteIt looks like a lovely place, Sean. I like the look of the dishes, but I have to say that I eat more...well, for lack of a better term, simple meals. (just meaning I don't use a lot of herbs, spices and sauces), but my food does taste good.
ReplyDeleteLinda: i do like the use of herbs, spices and sauces for food, but i agree with you that with good produce, you might not need a lot of extra stuff to make it taste satisfying :)
DeleteYay! Somewhere near that I can bring my family :) by the way congratulations Sean!!! You are officially the most influential food blogger in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteLeo: and parking at this section seems quite easy in the evening, and the restaurant is quite calm :) thank you for the encouragement! :)
DeleteWhen I first saw the name Signature Cakes & Cafe, I thought this post will be full of cakes & desserts pics, lol.
ReplyDeleteCK: heheh, yeah, only one cake that we tried here - the sugee cake! :D
DeleteLike CK, I was expecting to see many more cakes in this post ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe Yum List: heh, yep, i think what drew me here instead were the dishes from my southern hometown :)
DeleteCongratulation on title of 'most influential food blogger in Malaysia'. I literally named your blog the Food Bible :P
